Connecting Culture and Community

This program aims to work collaboratively with other Kurbingui services and external stakeholders to provide workshops and group work relating to cultural education in schools and other identified environments. In 2016 the program will continue to integrate services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, men, children, families and Elders. This will include incorporating successful elements from the Picking up Sticks and Engagement Black Fella Way programs.

This program is a response to identified need in the community and with government and non-government stakeholders, to establish more culturally appropriate ways of working with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and improve linkages between the community service sector and the broader community.

Refer to our events page for workshop dates.
