Indigenous Community Links (ICL) program

Indigenous Community Links (ICL) is a program designed to help close the gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous Australians; specifically, with the aim of supporting Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community members to achieve:

– lasting social, health and financial improvements through supported referrals and advocacy.
Community members will receive:

– information and referrals to local community services and programs across a range of Indigenous and other services and programs, such as legal, health, employment and housing.

Kurbingui will provide:
– assistance and opportunities for clients to develop skills to help themselves.

ICL is a referral and information service; it is not a replacement program for other services. ICL providers, such as Kurbingui, work closely with other community service organisations in their area to share client referrals and facilitate client needs.
