Congratulations SQW Trainees

Yesterday, Kurbingui Youth and Family Development, The Northside Elders, community members, partner organisations, friends and family gathered to celebrate the graduation of our Skilling Queenslanders for Work trainees.

A total of 13 trainees successfully completed their Certificate I in Construction or Certificate I in Workplace Skills. Over the course of this 20-week program, the trainees not only gained valuable technical skills but, with the guidance of the Employment and Training Team, Elders, and Cultural Mentors, have also grown into motivated, future-focused individuals.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Brisbane Northside Elders, Bart Mellish MP, Councillor Sandy Landers, Councillor Jarrod Cassidy, Jabiru Community College, Northside Connect, the Department of Trade, Employment and Training, the Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism, Training Professionals, Major Training, Busy@Work, Drug ARM, Bunnings, Contract Resources, Scouts Queensland, LJ Crete Group, Swarly Road Construction, and the Kurbingui Youth and Family Development staff, CEO and Board of Directors for their continued support.
